Raise Money To Help Animals

Raising funds is the best method to donate money for animal welfare when you'd like to give more money than you can as an individual. To help you with your fundraising, animal rights organizations are offering creative ways for you to raise funds. From walk-a-thons to wedding registries, there are more ways to raise money to help animals than ever before.

Instructions

1. Take part in the annual Walk For Animals, organized by the Animal Humane Society. It is a walkathon that helps injured, homeless and abused animals. Money is raised by getting sponsors to donate a specific dollar amount per mile walked, and the total walk is five miles.

2. Choose an animal charity--like Guide Dogs of America--and ask friends and family to donate to the charity in your name instead of giving you a present at your birthday or Christmas.

3. Sign up for an ASPCA platinum Visa card. The ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) will receive $75 when you sign up for an ASPCA Visa, and they will also receive 0.2% of the sale on each purchase you make with the credit card. See resources below for details.

4. Register your wedding with charity organizations that benefit animals. The I Do Foundation allows you to register your wedding and have all proceeds go to the National Wildlife Federation. The Biscuit Fund Wedding Registry also has a wedding registry whose donations go towards the welfare of animals. See Resources below for details.
