Create A Training Completion Certificate

As an employee, it's relatively common to receive a training completion certificate at the end of any seminar or workshop. But, someone must create that certificate. While your certificate may appear at first glance to be pretty impressive, it is really very simple to create a certificate.

Instructions

Use Pre-Designed Stationary

1. Look online at stationary and paper websites for sample certificates. Or, you might be better benefited by looking through catalogs from various office supply stores in your local area. Some office supply stores actually keep various certificate stock on hand. You may find just what you're looking for by going to your local store.

2. Decide on your certificate stationary based on your needs. Some certificates include more information than you need. Some certificates don't have enough places for the information you want to include. Determine what the necessary information is to fit on a certificate and select a certificate to suit that criteria.

3. Use the template provided by the brand of stationary you select to print information on the certificate, such as name, date and any other facts you want to include.

Make a Certificate From Scratch

4. Select a border for your certificate. You may want to choose a very simple, one line border. However, many desktop publishing software packages have various border types from which to choose.

5. Choose a font. The font is very important for your certificate's overall look. The font needs to be readable and be consistent with the look and feel of other documents issued by the company.

6. Print the certificate. Including the pertinent information for the certificate, use the font selected to print up the document. You may need to print a couple of practice certificates before getting it "just right."
