Delete A Game Patch On The 360

It's possible to clear system updates from your Xbox 360 console.


When makers of video games want to improve upon or add to a video game that has already been released, they release patches that users can download online. However, at times gamers dislike the patches and prefer the game in its original form. If this is the case, game patches can be deleted from the system's hard drive reverting the game back to its original pre-patch form. Learn do this and never regret downloading a game patch again.


Instructions


1. Turn on your Xbox 360 and access the "System" blade in the dashboard. Select "Memory" and press Y on your Xbox 360 controller to open the "Device Options" menu.


2. Press the following sequence of buttons using your Xbox 360 controller: X - X - LB - RB - X - X. Upon pressing these buttons, you will be asked if you would like to perform system maintanence on your Xbox 360 hard drive. Select yes to perform maintenance and delete all game patches.


3. Insert an Xbox 360 game to ensure that the patches have been deleted. Reinstall any other patches that you did not wish to be deleted using Xbox Live.
