Orange Beach is located in Alabama, near Gulf Shores and Pensacola. The Gulf Coast beach area is famous for its white sandy beaches and emerald waters. There are many different things to do and attractions to visit while in the Orange Beach area. Many of the attractions are beach and water-related, such as parasailing, boating and fishing.

The Dolphin Cruises aboard the Cold Mil Fleet take you on an hour and a half journey into the inland waters of the Gulf, searching for Bottlenose Dolphins. The cruise focuses on finding the dolphins and watching them surf. Dolphins usually jump, surf and roll alongside the boat. The Cold Mil Fleet is a 50-foot reconditioned Navy transportation boat. It is partially shaded so you will not get too hot while aboard. The ship has a restroom onboard and offers 360 degrees of dolphin viewing.

Sail the Daedalus


Sail the Daedalus offers many different options for sailboat cruises. Trip choices include two-hour daytime, two-hour sunset, twilight, private, moonrise or three-hour swimming cruises. Dolphin cruises are also available. The sunset cruises offered are the most popular and fill up the fastest. These cruises take you out in the early evening, departure time varying upon time of year. The cruise lasts approximately two hours, during which you can experience the Gulf's beautiful sunset with an unobstructed view. The Daedalus boat is a two-mast ketch sailboat which includes a porthole below the waterline to allow you to view underwater marine life.

Gulf State Park


The Gulf State Park is located in Gulf Shores. The park consists of over 6,000 acres, which includes over two miles of white sandy beaches. The park offers both modern and primitive camping, cottages, cabins, hiking trails, and fishing. You can also enjoy a game of tennis or the 18-hole golf course. There is a 900-acre lake for fishing, swimming, and water skiing. Like many state parks, there are also nature programs and picnic areas and pavilions. The Gulf State Park Pier is open for recreational catch-and-keep fishing, as of August 2010.
