Get A Kid In Sims 2 Pets On The Wii

Get a Kid in Sims 2: Pets on the Wii

The Wii console is a great way to continue your "Sims 2" adventures with "The Sims 2: Pets." It's much like the original "Sims 2" games, and the other Sims games on the Wii, only with the added option of getting your family some pets. In addition, you can also start off with, or have kids of your Sims' own. This does require managing the relationships between your intended Sims--or between the intended pets.

Instructions

Starting the Game with a Kid

1. Insert the game disc into the Wii console and start a new game or continue your existing "Sims 2: Pets" file.

2. Create a new Sim, and select the "Child" option when prompted for the age.

3. Edit and alter your Sim to your preferences. When ready, save the Sim.

4. Repeat for any other children you want to make. Bear in mind that children cannot live alone and will need at least one adult Sim in the house.

Having a Kid

5. Make a new Sim and start your game, or continue your existing game. To save some time, you can create a new family with a male and female Sim set as married.

6. Command your Sim to talk to a Sim of the opposite gender repeatedly, until they have built up enough of a friendship to start dating. You will see a new range of commands that include flirting, and eventually into other dating commands.

If your Sims start off as married, you will need to have them talk, but the process is sped up considerably.

7. Romance the other Sim. Have the couple kiss, flirt and talk until their relationship reached approximately 80%. You can now test to see if they're ready to go all the way.

8. Purchase a double-bed through the game's Buy menu, unless you already have one in the home.

9. Send your Sim upstairs to lie on their bed, using the "Lie in Bed" option. Then, move the pointer to wherever the other Sim is, and click them, and select the "Invite to Join" command.

10. Wait for the other Sim to join your Sim in bed, and then click on them. Select the "Flirt" options "Caress", "Make Out" and "Try for Baby" options. If the two Sims are ready for it, you will see an animation where the two "Woohoo" with each other.

11. Wait for the animation to end. If the couple were successful, you'll hear a few bars of "Rock-a-bye-baby." If you did not hear this, their attempt was unsuccessful. Repeat step 6 again on another evening until they're successful.

12. Play through the next three in-game days until the baby is born. Help the pregnant Sim by meeting her needs and having the other Sims do as many of the jobs as they can. If she is employed, her job will give her maternity leave. After those three days, your baby Sim will appear in a bassinet.
