Rescue Heroes Pet Rescue is great for kids over 3 years old to play on a rainy day.
The pet hospital is going up in smoke. The flames are hot and the smoke is making it hard to see. You have to help save the pets! In this board game you become one of four rescue heroes saving the pets and trying to avoid the ropes which move you back down the building. Hopefully you get to one of the ladders instead so you can reach the helicopter faster than everyone else.
Instructions
1. Open the board and place it in the middle of the play area.
2. Set the pet cards face down in the empty window spaces of the board, such as on square number 41.
3. Choose one of the Rescue Hero Movers, these are the game pieces. Put the game piece on the fire truck, it's the start position.
4. Roll the die to determine the order of play. The player with the highest number goes first and the order proceeds clockwise.
5. Roll the die and move the number of spaces indicated by the die following the order of the numbers on the board. For example, if you roll a 4 you would move four spaces following the numbers one through four written on the board.
6. Take any pet cards you land on and keep them face down until the end of the game.
7. Move up the ladder if your game piece lands on any part of it. Continue normal play from your landing point.
8. Slide down the rope if your game piece lands on any part of it. Continue normal play from your landing point.
9. Share spaces with players that land in the same square as you do.
10. Remove all unclaimed pet cards from the board when you have reached the last square, number 68, where the helicopter waits to take you, the other players and all the animals to safety. Flip over the pet cards to see which of the pets you have rescued.
