Find Public Records Of A Marriage For Arizona

In the State of Arizona, individual counties issue and maintain records of marriage licenses. Therefore, you can find public records for Arizona marriages through county Superior Court Clerk's Offices. Every clerk's office has a procedure in place for accessing and requesting a copy of county marriage records. Generally, you can request a copy of a marriage record by phone, mail or in person.

Instructions

1. Contact the Superior Court Clerk's Office in the Arizona county where the marriage occurred. You can find a list of contact information for all Arizona Superior Court Clerk's Offices in the Resources section of this article.

2. Call, write or go to the Superior Court Clerk's Office where the marriage occurred.

3. Request a copy of a marriage license. You will generally need to provide the full legal name of the bride and groom and the year the marriage took place.

4. Pay the required fee. Counties offer both certified and uncertified copies of marriage licenses. Specify the type of copy you want and pay the required fee. Certified copies are more expensive, and you can use certified copes as legal documents.
