Find A Quiet Beach In Alabama

Alabama offers beaches on the Gulf of Mexico and inland lake beaches. While some are more popular than others, it's not hard to find a quiet beach in Alabama. Here are a few places to look.

Instructions

1. If you are on the Gulf Coast, consider Alabama Point at Orange Beach. Alabama Point has more than a mile of beach, clear blue waters and large sand dunes.

2. Gulf State Park is another place where you can find a quiet Gulf beach. The beaches here are rarely crowded, so it is easy to spread out and find space on the beach that is all your own.

3. If you're willing to make a bit of a longer drive, consider looking for a quiet beach on Dauphin Island. There is plenty of room to spread out on the beaches on the west side of the island.

4. If, rather than being on the Gulf Coast, you are in Northern Alabama and are looking for a quiet beach, consider a trip to Lake Guntersville State Park. And, of course, if you decide to go exploring beyond the beach you'll have access to a number of other activities, including golf and hiking.

5. In Coker, Alabama, in the western part of the state, you'll find Lake Lurleen State Park-a quiet place to get away from it all along a 250-acre lake.
