Make Lost Dog Flyers

Lost dog flyers should be informative and easy to read.

Losing a dog can be an awful experience for you and your pet. Your dog may be out in the elements, scared and without adequate food. If a drive and search has not been fruitful, making a flyer is the next best thing. A flyer alerts people in the community that there is a lost dog in the area. It informs people that your dog is not a stray and gives them contact information if they see your dog. Making copies of that flyer and posting them in several locations in the community increases the probability that you will find your dog.

Instructions

1. Write "LOST DOG" at the top of the flyer in big letters

2. Insert or glue a picture of your dog on the flyer. The picture should appear just under the "LOST DOG" notification.

3. Write "DO NOT CHASE" and underline it near your dog's picture. People may unintentionally chase your dog further away if they see him.

4. Add details about your dog. Sex, colors, color of collar, name and weight are all informative details.

5. Write two phone numbers on the flyer and "CALL ANYTIME ASAP". Your area code must appear on the flyer as well.

6. Photocopy your original flyer. Make enough to cover at least the immediate community and town area.

7. Post the flyers by using tacks or push pins.
