Make An Online Pet Website

Create a website for your beloved pet today.

Creating an online pet website can be used for a number of different purposes. Perhaps you are a dog or cat breeder and would like to use your site to advertise new puppies or kittens for sale. Or maybe you are an independent animal shelter and need an online domain to explain what you are all about, along with showing off different animals that are ready to be adopted. Whatever the case, you can start a pet website on your own without any prior website creating experience.

Instructions

1. Think about what type of pet website you are looking to create. Consider the type of colors and text styles that you would like to use, and create a name for your site. Write out text that you would like to display, and gather photographs that you would like to use. Try to only choose photos of your animals rather than you or other humans since your page is going to be about your pets.

2. Locate a website creator online. Some popular options to host your site are Wordpress.org, Weebly.com or Ezweb123.com. The links to these sites can be found in the Resources section of this article.

3. Join the website of your choice, which will usually involve creating a user name, providing your email address and entering a name for your website. Your chosen website host may also require you to download provided software onto your computer. Most sites will provide you with everything that you’ll need in order to successfully produce your own website.

4. Complete the empty provided fields of your website using text and photographs. You can upload photos by clicking on the photo button and then uploading pictures directly from your computer. You can also provide an Internet URL link to upload a photograph to your website. Many web host programs allow you to edit photos by right clicking your mouse button over them, which will pull up an editing bar. Make sure to periodically save your progress. Once you have finished uploading your desired photographs, you can start editing the text, by clicking on the ‘Text’ button that is usually located on the menu bar. If you are planning on creating a pet website designed to sell or place animals up for adoption, it is important to include a way for prospective animal adopters to contact you. Typically, an email address works best for this.

5. Click on the "Publish" button after you are content with what you have created. Press the "View" button to see what your website will look like when visitors click on your page. Make any changes by pressing the "Edit" button. If you are fully satisfied with the way your pet page looks, then begin distributing its URL.
