Find An Arrest Warrant In Maryland

Find an Arrest Warrant in Maryland

According to the Maryland Rules 16-1001 through 16-101l, the public has the right to access most records in the state's possession. Almost all public records are available through the Maryland Judiciary Case Search, which was implemented in 2004. If you want to find an active arrest or bench warrant in the state of Maryland, you need to access the online database of the Maryland Judiciary Case Search and locate the warrant by imputing personal and identifying information.

Instructions

1. Open the Maryland Judiciary Case Search webpage in your web browser.

2. Read the notice associated with Maryland Rules 16-1001 through 10-101l, which is located on the front page of the webpage. If you agree to abide by the privacy rules required to gain access to public records, then click on the box next to the words "I have read, understand and agree to the terms, conditions, and limitations noted above" and press the "Continue" button.

3. Click on the circle next to the word "Person." If you wanted access to public court records associated with companies in the state, you could select "Company," but for the purpose of finding an arrest warrant, you need to select "Person."

4. Enter the name of the individual for whose arrest warrant you are searching. If you know the exact last name, click on the box next to the words "Exact Match on Last Name."

5. Select "Defendant" from the pull-down menu if a bench warrant has been issued. If you do not get any results from selecting "Defendant," select "Other" to widen the search.

6. If you know the Case Type (such as a traffic case) and Court System (such as circuit court) then click on the circle next to the appropriate word. Otherwise, click on the circle next to the words "All Case Types" and "Both Circuit and District Courts."

7. Select the county where the violation occurred or the arrest warrant was issued.

8. Leave the Filing Date section blank, as it does not apply to arrest warrants.

9. Click on the "Search" button. All cases and warrants associated with the name and information you imputed will be shown on the following page.
