Neopets can read scrolls as well as books.
Neopets is an online website where players raise virtual pets, or Neopets. Every Neopet has certain statistics, like strength, movement and intelligence. Intelligence is one of the easiest attributes to raise. To raise your Neopet's intelligence, all you need to do is read her a book she hasn't read before. You can purchase books from shops around Neopia. Very intelligent pets can win the coveted "Neopian Book Award."
Instructions
1. Go to a Neopets store that regularly sells books, such as the "Book Shop," "Neovian Printing Press" or "Sutek's Scrolls." Press the image of the text you want to buy. Then, enter in the amount of Neopian money, or Neopoints, you want to pay. Your offer will either be accepted or you will be told to offer more Neopoints. If your offer is accepted, the book will automatically move to your inventory.
2. Hold your mouse over the "Customize" button on the uppermost blue toolbar. Drag the mouse down to "Inventory" and click. You'll be taken to the "Your Items" page.
3. Press the image of the book you want to read. A small pop-up window will appear with an illustration of the book. Click the drop-down menu beneath this illustration. Highlight "Read to X," "X" being the name of your Neopet. Press the "Submit" button. After your Neopet reads the book, his intelligence will increase and the book will disappear from your inventory. Be aware though that your Neopet may refuse to read the book for no given reason.
4. Scroll down the bottom of the page if your Neopet refused to read the book. Click the toolbar next to the "Select Language" button. Select a different language and press "Go!" Read the book to your Neopet again. He will likely now agree to read it. If he refuses again, try different languages until you are successful.
