A Facebook promotion page gives your business an additional presence on the web.
Facebook business pages are one way that business owners and managers get the word out about their business, letting people know what activities or specials the business is offering, and creating a "personal connection" to draw in new customers. To get started creating a "promotion" or "business" page for your business, you'll need to have a personal Facebook profile.
Instructions
1. Log in to your Facebook account with your username and password.
2. Navigate to the "Create a Page" page on Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php#!/pages/create.php. Within the Facebook platform, you can type "Create a New Facebook Page" in the Search box from your Home or Profile page to get to the page.
3. Click on the business or entity type that best describes your business, from the boxes that appear on the "Create a Page" page. Selections include "Local Business or Place," "Brand or Product" and "Company or Organization."
4. Select a category for your business from the dropdown menu that appears, enter in the address for the business, and click the "Agree to terms" box to generate the page. Click "Get Started."
5. Follow the prompts at the next screen to add a photo to your new page, invite friends and post your first status update. You now have a page which you can start using to promote your business.
