Wash A Cabbage Patch Doll'S Hair

Cabbage Patch Kids are a favorite among many children and collectors. The original doll had a cloth body with hair made out of yarn. Washing a Cabbage Patch Kid's hair needs to be done gently to ensure the hair isn't ruined in the process.

Instructions

1. Place warm water into a large bowl. Add two or three squirts of liquid hand soap and mix it in well. Use a soap that does not contain bleach.

2. Hold the doll upside down, letting the hair hang into the bowl of water. Move the doll in circles around the bowl, allowing the hair to swim around.

3. Gather all of the hair with your free hand and gently squeeze it to release dirt or debris. Repeat this motion until the hair is sufficiently clean.

4. Empty the bowl and rinse out any soap that is left over. Refill the bowl with clean warm water. Rinse the doll's hair by using the same scrunching motion you did in Step 3. Continue until all of the soap is removed from the hair. If necessary, replace the bowl with clean water once more.

5. Lift the Cabbage Patch Kid's hair completely out of the bowl and squeeze out the excess water. Lay the doll down on a clean towel with the hair flat away from the doll's body. Allow the doll's hair to air dry as long as necessary.
