Ask any kid and they probably know all about Neopets, the newest virtual world from Nickelodeon. Similar to Webkins, the Neopet site is engaging and creative. There are hundreds of characters and games to choose from. Children and adults find themselves captivated by exploring new lands in Neopia or playing games, and you can set up your Neopet page with these easy instructions:

1. Create an account on Neopets.com. While you can continue to set up your Neopet, you will not be able to explore Neopia, the Neopet virtual world, until you have activated your account. Watch your email for the activation code and enter it when requested. The first page you see will be titled "Create a Neopet."
2. Select your species. There are 42 different Neopet species to choose from. Limited edition pets may be available and are highly prized. Each species of Neopet has a story. For example, a frog-like character is called a Nimmo, which is a spiritual creature.
3. Select a color. You will be able to choose from red, green, blue or yellow.
4. Select your Neopet stats. Neopet stats are a rating of your Neopet's abilities in the areas of Strength, Defense and Movement. You will choose one of three combinations. For example, more strength/less movement might be one choice. Stats start low with new Neopets, but as your character learns and develops, your stats will improve.
5. Explore Neopia. Your Neopet is now ready. Watch the tutorial on Neopia and see all of the different activities and adventures you can experience in Neopia. You get virtual prizes, called inventory, for taking the tour. There are hundreds of games and ways to earn Neoprizes and points. These can be redeemed at virtual stores for accessories for your pet, allowing you to create an elaborate virtual universe.
