Find An Event In Your Area

There are many resources available to help you find fun events locally.


Whether you live in a big city or a quiet town, there is an event somewhere nearby. Finding the fun is the challenge but it is well worth your efforts. Fortunately, if you are on a quest for an entertaining event, there are several resources available at your fingertips.


Instructions


1. Go to Ticketmaster. Concerts, theatre performances, and sporting events all over the country can be located on the www.ticketmaster.com site. You can order tickets online and even choose your seats for the event. In addition, you can sign up for email alerts about upcoming events.


2. Check out eventful. Concerts, art shows, festivals, trade shows, sporting events, nightlife and more can be found at the www.eventful.com website. You can also get movie listings in your area on this site.


3. Check local organizations. Your local Chamber of Commerce, Convention and Visitors Bureau, or downtown organization will have a calendar of events for your community. Check out their websites or give them a call and request to receive a copy of the calendar so you can plan ahead. In addition, some of these organizations leave brochures in area restaurants with event listings.


4. Check local newspaper. Many newspapers have a weekend guide in their Friday edition. Check for a list of happenings in your area.


5. Check out Daily Candy. A service known as Daily Candy provides a weekend guide for major cities including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington DC. You can join their email list for free and receive daily alerts.


6. Check festival listings. A website known as festivals.com has listings of festivals all over the country. Everything from arts to music events are included.
