Operation Kindness is North Texas' Oldest and Largest no-kill shelter. It opened in 1976. Their mission statement states they strive to achieve a commitment to and respect for all animals and to free them from suffering, abuse and exploitation. It is one of the largest shelters in the Houston area and is well known throughout the surround communities. They do not restrict themselves to only dogs and cats. They also extend shelter to animals such as cows, sheep, chickens, goats and more.
