When you post free ads online, you might not get the same exposure as paying for web advertisements, which are usually highly targeted for individual consumers. But even if the free ad isn't targeted specifically to your ideal customers, it can still bring traffic to your website and possibly increase its popularity over time. There are a few places online where you can post ads for free to bring more people into your website.
Instructions
1. Post a free ad online using Craigslist as one way to get the word out about your business. Craigslist has a variety of categories to meet your needs, including the "For Sale," "Services" and "Gigs" sections. All of these areas allow you to post advertisements for free to people within your city or the area of your choice. You have to create an account and complete a voice verification process for most areas of the website to place posts.
2. Place an ad with Oodle for free online. The posting categories include "Items for Sale," "Real Estate" and "Services." Create an account or use one of your favorite social networking website accounts to sign in (see the website for a list of options). The website also allows you to promote the ad using social networking tools. You can create posts for free with limitations or pay for an "Oodle Pro" account for unlimited postings and additional networking tools.
3. Write and submit an advertisement for free on Ebay Classifieds. This service is similar to Craigslist---create an account (or use your existing Ebay account) to post advertisements about your business in the "Jobs," Community," "Services" or "For Sale" sections. This service is also useful for eBay sellers whose items expired unsold---you can transfer the items to the classified section automatically from your account.
