Ski Resorts Around Everett Washington

Everett, WA offers both marine and mountain landscapes and is located near some excellent ski resorts.


Everett is the main city in Snohomish County, Washington. It is located about 25 miles north of Seattle on Possession Sound. It has the second largest marina on the West Coast, world-famous salmon fishing, over 50 miles of both saltwater and freshwater coastline, and more than 1,600 acres of public parks and trails. In addition, it is located within a two hour drive of the Cascades mountain range to the east, making it a popular ski destination.


Stevens Pass Ski Resort


Stevens Pass is the main ski resort in the Cascade Mountain range, about a two hour drive from Everett. Stevens Pass offers both downhill and cross-country skiing, with more than 30 ski runs suited to all levels of ability. Amenities at the resort include 10 lifts, rental service for skiing and snowboarding equipment, and several eateries catering to a variety of tastes and budgets, from fast food to fine dining. Stevens Pass offers a full service lodge, ski lessons, parking and RV parking. Accommodation near the resort is plentiful a short drive away in Leavenworth, town with a Bavarian look and feel. Leavenworth offers a variety of shops, museums and other attractions, as well as bars, restaurants and winter activities such as sleigh rides, dog sledding, horseback riding and snowmobile tours of the back country. You can also learn mountaineering and rescue skills through training courses held at the resort.

Mission Ridge Ski Resort


Mission Ridge Ski Resort offers over 35 trails spread over 2,000 acres. Amenities include a restaurant and a snack bar in the middle of the mountain. At the lodge you will find a shop which stocks the essentials, plus local souvenirs. In addition, you can rent basic equipment, including skis, snowboards and snowshoes. There are several snowshoe tours of the area led by local guides which travel through Mission Ridge resort and on to the local town of Wenatchee. At Wenatchee you will find a variety of accommodations, plus restaurants, bars and an indoor ice skating rink. Wenatchee National Forest is nearby, and offers camping all year round, as well as spectacular views of the mountains and the confluence of the Columbia and Wenatchee Rivers.

The Summit at Snoqualmie


The Summit is a combination of four resorts with over 1900 acres of skiing on over 35 designated trails. Each resort has its own amenities and caters for different levels of ability and sporting interest. The main resort is Alpental, which offers several restaurants and shops, and provides ski and snowboard rental. The trails are suited to all ages and levels of skill. Cross-country skiing, tubing, and snowshoeing is also available. The unique feature of this resort is the extensive snowboarding facilities, including a snowboarding park and superpipe. Alpental offers back country ski tours and night skiing until 10 p.m. depending on the weather conditions. Group ski lessons or private lessons should be booked in advance and are available for children aged 3 and up.


The Summit Lodge offers accommodation onsite, with 80 rooms offering either queen- or king-sized beds. It also offers a lounge, swimming pool, hot tub and sauna.
